Review and interim management during recruitment process. Circa £800,000 p.a. distribution cost saving identified.  Warehousing/Stock Control shift alignment in support of production team initiated.  Initiated a robust and fully functioning team Inbound warehouse operation.  Initiated enhanced despatch governance. Planning/Materials - reviewed process with the view to establishing capacity/demand planning and "in time" raw material replenishment

Distribution Consultancy & Project Management – Altro Limited                                                     Commenced 21st August  – Concluding 21st November 2023 

A threefold project with clear objectives.  Define UK network, required service and select new 3PL.  Find, facilitate and deliver £400,000 pa savings within UK distribution network – on target to achieve savings in excess of £500,000 pa.  Define and plot Worldwide Distribution Network identifying all opportunities – encompassing review (Dassau, Germany).

Providing logistics/warehouse design (3 new warehouses and a modification to a 4th) for a major development project and expansion within (Drinks/Juice Division) – overall project value/budget circa £50m. – personal budget of 1.1 million.

 

Interim Warehouse Consultant & Manager – Quorn Foods                                                            Commenced December 2018 – Concluded 10 May 2019

Resolved negative, unruly and inefficient warehouse workforce whilst coaching team and addressing recovery of SAP (WMS) system that was fundamentally “broken”, misused and requiring “root and branch” reprogramming - this was achieved under our specific direction.

 

Supply Chain Project Consultant & Manager - Cerealto                                                                  Commenced 13th August 2018 – Concluded 9th November 2018

Outsourcing tender (RFI, RFP, RFQ etc) for supply chain “to market” proposal obo for a major rice cake/biscuit manufacturer – facilitating savings of £300,000/annum

 

Supply Chain Manager  – Kanes Foods                                                                                                 Commenced October 2017 – Concluded 24thJuly 2018

For a major supplier of fresh prepared products – Restructure of supply chain/logistics function including mentoring and coaching whilst reducing headcount from 171 to 130 whilst moving to 24/7 service offering (facilitating savings of £600,000+/annum). Outsourcing of transport to preferred supplier (£500,000/annum minimum saving with enhanced services potential facilitating further savings).  Investigation, specification and preparation for implementation of WMS.

 

Interim Transport Consultant/Manager – Hitchen Foods                                                             Commenced 2nd January 2017 – Concluded 31st August 2017

Wholesale people, operational, financial and administrative review and solution for a Hitchen Foods/Bakkavor.  Departmental headcount reduction of 10%, £58,000/annum fuel savings, OTIF increased from 78% to 98.7%, new fleet and systems procurement, testing and operational introduction. Troublesome legislative compliance resolved and total financial savings in excess of £250,000/annum.

Greencore – major site and team recovery and restructure – Failing “food to go” delivery station. (Savings of £470,000/annum)

“Set up & fit out” of Amazons first “midlands delivery station” (Bilston) – 0 to 5,000 daily deliveries in 14 days.

Restructure of chilled despatch in both terms of layout and operation (Dairy Crest) – increasing from 5,000 to 7,000 daily stillages in 3 months. Absence reduced from over 13% to under 3% in same period.   

Supply Chain Project Manager, A worldwide multi million (GBP) systems operational roll out (Kerry Foods) – personal budget in excess of £1m.
